Old Monk Mojito, Anyone?
Recently, a Twitter user, Shubha Dutta posted a pic of an Old Monk Mojito. It was a glass bottle with a green colourthat featured the Old Monk logo. The tweet stated that it is a mystery why Old Monk doesn’t promote this drink. In fact, they are sold in a limited quantity. The tweet even pointed out that the mojito drink is much better than Breezer! Apparently, the drink is from The Connoisseur Collection by Old Monk.

These new rum varieties include mojito, lemon, orange, apple, cranberry, and others. In particular, the cola, cranberry, and mojito flavours have a somewhat lower alcohol level than the original Old Monk, making them the ideal replacement for the syrupy substitutes we’ve been forced to tolerate for so long.

Indians’ Favourite Rum
Old Monk Rum is a well-known Indian black rum that was introduced in 1954. It has a 42.8% alcohol level and is a dark rum with a pronounced vanilla flavour. It is manufactured in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and has its registered office there as well.
There is no advertising; instead, word-of-mouth and consumer loyalty drive its appeal. However, McDowell’s No. 1 Celebration Rum overtook Old Monk in 2013 to become the most popular dark rum. For many years, Old Monk has been the largest brand of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL).
