Swedish home furnishings company IKEA is opening its third store in Mumbai and we can’t hold our calm anymore. IKEA is the new-age furnishings brand that offers a plethora of well-designed, portable and affordable products to make lives smarter and easier. The brand had launched its first physical store in India 2020 in Navi Mumbai. In 2021, IKEA opened its first city store in India at Utopia City, Worli. Now, it is geared up to launch its third store in Mumbai at R City Mall on July 28, 2022.

IKEA To Open Its First In-Mall Store In India At R City Mall, Mumbai
The R City Mall store will be IKEA’s first in-mall store in India. It spreads over an area of 72,000 sq ft and will be offering over 7000 sleek and stylish furnishing products and other home essentials on sale. IKEA products range from trolleys, wall organisers, smart tables and bedroom sets to Wi-Fi speakers, kitchen appliances, smart air purifiers and more. A large number of convertible products by IKEA can be used for multiple purposes. The new store will also have a 130-seater IKEA restaurant.

The Brand Aims To Boost Its Omnichannel Presence In India
Alan Buckle, Customer Meeting Point Manager, IKEA R CITY said, “IKEA aims to offer home furnishing solutions that match the aspirations and dreams of the many people of Mumbai for a better everyday life. With R CITY Store, we aim to become more accessible and relevant for the many people of Mumbai with products catering to every member of the family. We are excited to welcome our customers to our newest store in Mumbai.” IKEA set foot in Maharashtra with its e-commerce platform in 2019. It aims to have a significant omnichannel presence in the country. At present, IKEA has stores in three Indian cities- Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. It is planning to expand its presence to Delhi NCR too.
