The Indian government has launched the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ under which several stations will be revamped. And one of them is the Vidyasagar Railway Station in Jharkhand; here is all about the railway station!

A new era of vibrancy and transformation is being ushered in at 1,309 railway stations across India through the ambitious ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,’ launched by the Indian government. One of the stations being transformed is Vidyasagar in Jharkhand.

The Indian Railways used X, the previous Twitter platform, on Wednesday to provide an update on the status of the renovation project at the Vidyasagar Railway Station.

The ministry captioned the image, stating that Jharkhand’s Vidyasagar Railway Station is racing towards an amazing makeover. It will include updated amenities that greatly improve passenger comfort and convenience when finished.

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. It was developed to aid in the growth of train stations throughout India. Under this programme, 1309 stations—as listed—have been designated for improvement.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme intends to improve and update train stations across the Indian Railways network. Currently, the plan calls for the modernization and upgrading of 1275 stations along the Indian Railway network. Twenty stations from the Samastipur Division and eighteen from the Sonpur Division have been selected for special attention under this project.

The long-term goal of the Amrit Bharat Station project is to continue developing stations. It entails developing master plans and carrying them out gradually to improve different station amenities.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme has designated 57 railway stations in Jharkhand, according to a government press release.
