Why Are They Holding Protests In Germany?
So many pictures and videos of the “Last Generation” activists protesting in several places in the country are making the rounds on social media. These activists in Düsseldorf and Hamburg took this step and glued themselves in the airports on 13 July, according to a report by DailyO. In their attempt to protest and make their point, their action of sticking their hands on the roadway led to some delays in flight services as well. The scheduled flights had to take pause for a couple of hours because of the protest.

The young activists in Germany took this major step and put their life in danger by gluing themselves to the road because of the climate crisis. These activists of the “Last Generation” protested in such a way due to the government’s lack of steps taken for the climate crisis. In fact, these eco-activists even called out the authorities for the rise in carbon dioxide emissions and more passenger footfall in the airports. They even demanded proper proposals and schemes so that the ongoing emissions can be decreased.
This daring step can now tragically lead to a potential amputation.
