In Video: UAE’s Police Band Pay Beautiful Tribute To Covid Heroes Across The World

If we have to describe the year of 2020 in one word, we can only describe it as COVID year. Covid-19 pandemic which struck us hard earlier this year is still there and is intensifying in many parts of the world. The pandemic has given a hard time to all of us, but thanks to our medics and frontline workers, we have been able to tackle the battle up till now. And to make sure that they feel honoured, loved and supported, the UAE’s Ministry of Interior, together with 27 police bands from 26 countries, has played a global musical tribute to our warriors.

The Police Bands Performed An Orchestral Ensemble Composition Virtually 

The police bands from 26 countries came together virtually to perform a beautiful orchestral ensemble composition, as a message of thanks and hope. Watch the video here.

The performers who joined this tribute were from Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Lithuania, Mauritius, Italy, Israel, New Zealand, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Senegal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. Speaking about this beautiful and thoughtful tribute, the MoI in a statement to a leading daily said,

“Covid-19 stopped the world in its tracks but a valiant effort from frontline workers contributed to vital services continuing nearly uninterrupted. This video is a tribute to those workers and a thank you to them for their commitment and dedication during this challenging time.”
