India’s first private train service took off from Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore to arrive at Maharashtra’s Sainagar in Shirdi. The train was scheduled to make several stops before finally reaching its final destination in Shirdi. It stopped at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Mantralayam Road, and Wadi.

Luxurious Train Under Bharat Gaurav Scheme

The train has been refurbished in and out before it finally took off. The coaches have been retouched and given a colourful and contemporary interior look.

Journey Via Historical Destinations Before Arriving In Maharashtra

In a bid to promote domestic tourism, the train will journey via various historical destinations before it reaches Sainagar. It will leave Coimbatore every Tuesday and reach Sainagar every Thursday.

The train has been launched under the Bharat Gaurav scheme and aims to promote India’s rich culture and heritage to its tourists – both domestic and international.
