Despite Owning 22 Cars & 5 Airplanes, Shankh Air’s Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma Still Likes To Drive Trucks!

On the latest episode of Stories From Bharat, our Editor-in-Chief travelled to Lucknow to meet Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma, the Founder and MD of Shankh Air. He is an inspiring man who went from driving tempos and working as a truck loader to becoming the founder of an airline. But despite having cars and aeroplanes, he still likes to drive trucks! Here’s why.

Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma Prefers Driving Trucks Instead Of Cars

The latest episode of Stories From Bharat was seriously inspiring. Curly Tales met Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma, who started his life with nothing but now owns luxury cars like Lamborghinis and aircraft worth hundreds of crores. His journey is definitely a story of grit, hard work and belief.

The episode started with Kamiya Jani entering the beautiful home of Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma, who used to drive tempos and worked as a truck loader in the past. But now? He is the founder of Shankh Air! You won’t believe that he owns 22 cars and all of them are fancy. And yes, he absolutely loves cars. But when Kamiya asked him whether he enjoys driving trucks more or these fancy cars, he quickly answered, “Truck”. According to him, “Uska feel alag hai” (It feels different.) and “Truck ka ek alag hee maza hai.” (There’s a different kind of fun in driving trucks.)

Shankh Air Founder Shares His Struggles & Dreams

Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma owns two Lamborghinis in blue and yellow among his collection of fancy cars. After showing us his beautiful cars, he gave us a beautiful tour of his home and even introduced us to his family, including his kids and his mother. In between conversations, Sharvan shared that he struggled a lot in his earlier days. His father was a farmer, and he could not focus much on studies as well.

He used to drive tempos and worked as a truck loader. Even during his childhood, he had decided that he did not want to do a job but wanted to build a business. After doing multiple jobs, he started working in cement and mining before founding Shankh Air.

He also shared the challenges and difficulties of starting an airline company in India and revealed that one Airbus can cost around ₹800-850 crore! And he already has three aircraft, while two more are lined up. This is unbelievable, right?

After that, he also took us to the office of Shankh Air and shared that the first flight of the airline is expected in July or August 2026. In the end, he shared his vision to make the airline successful and launch international flights too.
