Exclusive: “Pets Need Numerology As They Absorb Energy,” Says Numerologist Dr. Sachinn S Sharma

Astrology, numerology, and similar practices often spark strong opinions—you either believe in them or find yourself questioning them. Either way, they leave you with plenty of questions. On the latest episode of Stories From Bharat, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, sat down with renowned numerologist Dr. Sachinn S. Sharma to decode the world of numerology. During their conversation, they also explored an intriguing question: does numerology work for pets and other animals too?

Does Numerology Work On Pets?

Kamiya Jani travelled to Gurugram to meet Dr. Sachinn S. Sharma, one of India’s leading numerologists, who has spent over 43 years studying the power of numbers. Joining him was his son, Gaurang Sachinn Sharma, one of the country’s youngest numerologists. During their conversation, the father-son duo touched upon a topic that left us intrigued—does numerology work for pets?

Explaining his perspective, Gaurang said that when you bring a pet home, you’re not just welcoming an animal but a living spirit into your space. Since pets are often adopted as companions for families and children, they become deeply connected to the home’s environment. According to him, if a house carries negative energy, pets can become more vulnerable to it, sometimes falling ill more frequently because they tend to absorb surrounding energies.

Adding to this, Dr. Sachinn S. Sharma said that many pet parents notice their animals making frequent trips to the vet without an obvious explanation. In his view, one possible reason could be that the pet has absorbed negative energies present in the home. He further explained that while astrology has long associated certain energies with animals, numerology, too, offers interpretations related to pets and their well-being.

Dr. Sachinn S. Sharma Shares His Two Cents

Dr Sharma further explained that, according to his belief system, people can unknowingly transfer their energies or doshas to their pets. He shared that when pet parents consult Gaurang, they typically provide the pet’s name, date of birth, and year of birth. Using these details, they claim to offer insights into the pet’s overall well-being, as animals are living souls just like humans.

“Ache naam se immunity system bada sakte ho (A good name can strengthen the immune system),” he added.

Curious to know more, Kamiya asked whether a pet’s name could also be changed based on numerology. “Of course,” Dr. Sachinn S Sharma replied. Sharing a personal example, he said that although his own pet dog wasn’t seriously ill, it was frail and frequently suffered leg injuries. After consulting numerology, they changed the dog’s name to ‘DUUK.’ According to him, the dog’s health improved over time, and even the veterinarians remarked that it was doing much better.

“So, I’m not saying it’s going to be just the name, for sure. But why can’t I take that chance? If I recommend it for everyone else, then for pets, who are like family to us, why wouldn’t I?” he concluded.
