Curly Tales is back again with another Sunday Brunch episode! For this segment, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani stepped into the Paris-style home of Indian actor and anchor Shekhar Suman. He not only gave us a home tour but also opened up about interesting anecdotes, personal opinions and more.
Shekhar Suman’s Mumbai Home Feels Straight Out Of Paris
“Bonjour, Mademoiselle.” This is how Shekhar Suman welcomed Kamiya Jani to his four-storey Mumbai home that oozes Parisian vibes. His home features a stunning Victorian design that blends Parisian influences with elegant antiques, and we were totally in awe of it. Shekhar revealed that he and his wife, Alka Suman, are extremely fond of Parisian-style architecture, which is why they decided to design their home in a way that feels quite French.
Looking at the beige walls with floral wallpapers, plush sofas, European chandeliers and vintage-style chairs, we have to agree that his home is indeed beautiful. Kamiya humourously asked Shekhar that while the whole home gives a Paris vibe, is there any place that gives a “Patna vibe?” Without thinking, Shekhar replied, “Hum hai na Patna vibe.” After a fun conversation, Shekhar Suman took us on a house tour, which started with him showing us his antique chess table. His home is also filled with art pieces, adding to its European charm.

Sea-Facing Home, Sunshine & Stunning Views
In between conversations, Shekhar Suman revealed that he and his wife shopped for most of the décor pieces from New York, Santiago and Switzerland. He also mentioned that they did not plan on shopping for any specific items but randomly bought artworks during their trips. The most beautiful part of his home is that it is sea-facing. You can sit on the balcony and look at the Arabian Sea while enjoying some sunshine with your family. The house also offers tranquil views of the surrounding greenery, too!
After giving us a home tour, he took us to the kitchen, where he revealed his eating habits and why food is considered healthy only when made with minimal spices. During this Sunday Brunch episode, he also prepared Mustard Fish with rice for us, a Bihar-Bengal delicacy. Shekhar Suman revealed one more interesting fact about himself. He cooks every day and finds cooking therapeutic.
