Karan Aujla Admits He Cannot Dance, But Showed Us His Go-To Bhangra Step!

Karan Aujla

On this fun Sunday brunch episode, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, made Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla try Mumbai’s street food for the very first time, and believe us, he was impressed. The singer, known for his hit songs like Softly, Wavy, and the current social media favourite For A Reason, opened up about both his professional and personal life. But did you know that the hit singer cannot dance? Yes! He shared this secret with us, and we can’t wait to tell you more about it.

Punjabi Hit-Maker Karan Aujla Cannot Dance

Karan Aujla revealed to Curly Tales that if he were not a singer, he would have been a truck driver in Canada. Can you even imagine that? If he hadn’t pursued songwriting and singing, our social media reels would have been quite boring without his trending songs taking over our feeds.

Over a hearty Sunday spread of Pav Bhaji, Bhajiya, Dahi Bhalla, Misal Pav, and Bhel Puri, he shared a funny story. During the shoot of Tauba Tauba with Vicky Kaushal, he saw Vicky dancing and showing off his amazing moves. Karan looked at the manager and said, “Bro, please tell me they are not going to make me do this (dance).” The manager replied, “Halka sa hook step karenge.” (We will do just a hook step.) He added that they tried a lot, but he could not dance.

Dancing Is Not His Cup Of Tea

He confirmed that he cannot dance at all. Kamiya naturally asked if he even likes dancing, to which Karan replied without missing a beat, “No.” Karan also said his team keeps asking him to dance, but he feels he looks funny while dancing and avoids it. He shared that he has watched himself dancing in front of the mirror and started laughing, emphasising his bad dancing skills.

Then he added, “I can do bhangra though,” and even shared his go-to step with us. Honestly, Punjabis may not know all dance forms, but one thing they often excel at is bhangra, and Karan Aujla proved it. Our conversation continued with the singer sharing emotional childhood stories about his hometown, parents, and childhood. We wrapped up this fun episode with a fan interaction segment and wished him all the best for his upcoming projects.
