Exploring the Nawabi Streets with Meethika Dwivedi
This episode of Tere Gully Mein was packed with fun as we explored the nawabon ka sheher with Meethika Dwivedi, aka The Sound Blaze, popularly known as Lucknow’s viral comedy queen. Known for her unbeatable humour, she’s one of the city’s most popular content creators. Our day began at the historic Bada Imambada, a monument built during the reign of Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. While sharing stories about the city, Meethika said Lucknow is known not just for its food but also for its “tehzeeb,” which she believes you won’t find anywhere else.
From there, we headed to Chowk Gali, a famous part of Old Lucknow. A visit to Chowk is incomplete without browsing through chikankari shops and stopping at Pandit Raja Thandai. This refreshing drink, made with almonds, saffron, and secret spices, has been served here for generations. While enjoying her glass of thandai, Meethika revealed that though Lucknow is famous for its non-vegetarian delicacies, her family has always been vegetarian.

Laughter, Paan, And Street Food Adventures
After laughing at her humorous one-liners, we asked Meethika about her accent, which carries a raw desi flavour. She shared that her accent played a huge role in making her popular on Instagram. She also recalled her very first brand deal, back when she hit 25k followers, she was gifted a cake and paid ₹1,500!
From there, we made our way to another iconic stop: Azhar Bhai Ka Paan. When asked her favourite paan, she instantly replied, “Aag Paan! Khaaya hai aapne?” (Fire paan! Have you tried it?) She added with a laugh, “Usse kick milti hai,” (It gives a kick). And honestly, we couldn’t agree more!
Next, we stopped at Bajpayee Kachori, a legendary spot with never-ending queues. While enjoying the crispy kachori, we asked her about her favourite hangout places in Lucknow. She mentioned a few, including Riverfront and Royal Cafe. Naturally, we ended up at Royal Cafe, where we tried their famous Basket Chaat while playing a fun “This or That” game with her. For her answers, you will have to catch the episode! Our day ended with a peaceful walk along the Gomti Riverfront, enjoying cotton candy and chatting with Meethika about her life and journey so far.
