Hello Curly Tales family! We are back with another Sunday Brunch episode, but this time it was more fun, as we had Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur on a brunch date with our editor-in-chief, Kamiya Jani. In this episode, the conversation went way ahead of just food; it was also about Bollywood journeys, love, friendship and a lot more. Read on to know more about what Mrunal and Siddhant talked about.

Mrunal Thakur Admires Amitabh Bachchan’s Fan Following

Comparing the Bollywood and celebrity fandom of today’s generation with what it used to be in the ’70s and ’80s, Mrunal Thakur opened up about one thing she loves about celebrity fan following back then. She stated, “But you know what I love the most? The fan following right now, when it comes to Bachchan Sahab. Outside his home every Sunday, shaam ko jo fans aate hain, vo zamana hi kuch aur tha, vo pyaar, vo films. Jiss tarah se woh sab hota tha tab, it is so nostalgic; I can’t even tell you, like the love and the way it functioned then. Nobody knew much about the actors; there was always a decorum that was maintained. I miss that era.”

Mrunal Thakur & Siddhant Chaturvedi On Industry Friendships

Talking about that one thing that surprised Mrunal Thakur about the industry, she said, “Female friendships. It exists; we have a big gang: Wamiqa, Tamannah, Tripti, and Pragya. We have Mouni, and we have a big gang.” Talking about her girl friendship, she said, “It’s just so amazing that when this girl gang comes together, we just feel like woh kehte hai na, ‘do heroine sirf cat fight kar sakti hain’ – nothing like that.”

Adding on to the conversation, Siddhant Chaturvedi stated, “It’s said that men are very secure and friends; it’s the opposite of that. In fact, men are more insecure than women here, and you know the other person is being successful. They are good as long as you are second or third, but the second you come first, then they start having issues, and you can start feeling the cold vibes. So it’s been like six-eight years in the industry right now; on my fingertips, I can count the number of male friends I have in the industry.”
