Paresh Rawal On His Experience With Kussh Sinha

While talking about shooting and films, Kamiya Jani asked Paresh Rawal about his experience of working with Kussh Sinha and if he has any similarities with Shatrughan Sinha. OMG actor replied, “As a persona, jo Shatrughan saab ka hai, confident, in-control, commanding authority without shouting over anything, and sure-footed. Ye jo hai trained as a director bade kamaal ke hai, and first time.” (“As a persona like Shatrughan Saab, he is confident, in control, commanding authority without ever raising his voice, and very sure-footed. As a director, he is extremely talented and well-trained, and this is his first time”).

The Bollywood actor continued, “Pata nahi ek hota hai ki, politician ke bete hote hai, so well-cultured, well-groomed. Itne ache ki pata bhi nah chale. You know ek hota hai ki, pitaji itne bade star hai, itne bade politican hai, somehow arrogance automatically aajata hai, effortlessly. But nothing was like that.”

(“I don’t know, but there’s something about it — the sons of politicians are usually so well-cultured and well-groomed, so much so that you don’t even realise it. Often, when someone’s father is such a big star and such a big politician, arrogance naturally comes in, almost effortlessly. But with him, there was nothing like that”) He also revealed that Kussh Sinha was very polite to everyone.

Over time, the Phir Hera Pheri actor has become more selective about his roles. Speaking about accepting a role in Nikita Roy, the actor said he is always fascinated by ‘baba-like stories.’ He was also curious to see how the film would be captured cinematically. Once he saw the building chosen for the shoot, which looked spooky and perfectly suited to the story, he felt it was just right for the movie. The building added the right sense of desperation, and he had a wonderful experience while shooting for the film.
