The game started off casually, but within minutes, it had everyone laughing. During a lively round of ‘Never Have I Ever’, sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma ended up revealing a few surprisingly relatable moments from his life. The questions were being fired by Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, during a Sunday Brunch, and the rule was simple: if the answer was yes, he had to take a bite.
Rishab Rikhiram Sharma Plays ‘Never Have I Ever’ With Kamiya Jani
The first confession came quickly. Kamiya Jani asked him if he had ever forgotten the notes to his own musical piece while performing. Before anyone could even react, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma picked up a bite and ate it. The answer was obvious! When Kamiya asked what he would do in that situation, he shrugged it off lightly.
He said he usually just smiles and keeps going. Just a smile and the music continues. Watching him say that, it was easy to believe that the audience probably never notices. Kamiya even joked that with the kind of warm, easy smile he has, it would definitely work.
Then came a slightly mischievous question: Had he ever used his dad’s name as a dhamki (blackmail) to get out of trouble?
This time, he didn’t touch the food. He immediately said no and explained that his father is the nicest person. The way he said it was simple and sincere, almost childlike, and it made the answer feel completely genuine.
The next one felt very relatable for anyone who has sat through a performance they didn’t enjoy. Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, asked if he had ever pretended to like another artist’s performance when he actually didn’t.
Rishab laughed and admitted that it does happen. Sometimes, he explained, you are seated right in the first row during performances. When you’re sitting there in full view of everyone, you can’t exactly show boredom. So yes, occasionally you have to pretend.

The Private Jet Story That Became The Highlight Of The Game
And then came the question that turned into the highlight of the game: Had he ever missed a flight?
Rishab quietly took another bite. Yes, it had happened!
He explained that once he got so late that his private jet couldn’t get landing clearance anymore. By the time everything was sorted out, the flight was gone, and he had missed it. Kamiya immediately jumped in with the most practical question: Did he at least get a refund?
Rishab laughed and admitted that no, he did not. The entire exchange was playful, spontaneous, and oddly comforting. For a musician who travels the world performing classical music, the story wasn’t about concerts or accolades. It was simply about being late… and missing your own private jet.
