Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, visited the beautiful Mumbai home of Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi for a delicious Sunday Brunch. The menu featured a delectable spread of vegan and non-vegetarian dishes, showcasing some of the couple’s personal favourites. Before the trio sat for the meal, Vivek shared how he has given up eating non-vegetarian food and sticks to a plant-based diet. He shared that as per lifestyle medicine, the source of most diseases today is food and one can reverse diseases naturally by improving their diet.
Reversing Diseases Naturally
Vivek Agnihotri shared that earlier, he used to eat non-vegetarian food everyday. Now, he has switched to a plant based diet. He now follows a few rules. Elaborating on this, he said, “Anything that comes out of earth, I eat that. Anything which does not have a face or mother, woh main nahi khaata. And third, anything that’s advertised on television, I don’t eat that. Jo bhi cheez aapke liye healthy hai, uska kabhi ad nahi aata.”
“I realised that world ki jo sabse advanced sciend hai, uss main toh logo ke diabetes, blocked arteries, and livers tak theek ho gaye. It’s all reversible. Jo bhi aapki bimari hai, woh reverse ho sakti hai. I experimented and 30 years tak I had acidity, and that vanished. I felt a mental fog clearing out. So, yeah, I believe, eating right helps reverse diseases naturally,” Vivek Agnihotri explained.
