When I first heard about Dramique, Delhi’s brand-new theatrical dining experience, I was curious but didn’t really know what to expect. A restaurant that combines food with live performances? It sounded exciting but also a little hard to imagine. So when I finally walked in, I was instantly taken aback by how different it felt from the moment I stepped inside.
Redefining Nightlife And Dining In The Capital

At first glance, it looks like a regular fine-dining setup inside a hotel. It’s beautifully done, chic, and inviting. But the real surprise is right at the centre of the space: a raised stage. It’s not hidden away in a corner; it’s right there, making you wonder what’s about to happen later in the evening. That was my first hint that the night ahead was going to be anything but ordinary.
The dinner began smoothly. The menu wasn’t huge, but that’s what made it special; it felt carefully put together, with every dish promising something unique. The cocktails, too, arrived looking like works of art, and the flavours matched the presentation. I started tasting one dish after another, enjoying every bite, completely absorbed in the food. At that point, it felt like I was just having a perfect fine-dining dinner.
But then came the turning point. The stage came alive as the clock struck 9:30, the lights went down, and music began to fill the room. In just a few seconds, the entire restaurant was transformed. The music grew louder, dancers and performers emerged in glitzy costumes, and all eyes were suddenly on the stage. There was more than just entertainment while you were eating there; it was as if the restaurant itself had changed into an entirely new universe.
Dramique Turns Dinner Into A Mesmerising Live Show
Imagine this: I was busy picking up a slice of their butternut squash pizza (which, by the way, was so addictive I could’ve easily had the whole thing by myself), and before I knew it, a curtain lifted and performers took over. I froze, pizza slice in hand, completely mesmerised. I was unable to take my eyes off it for the next half hour. Throughout the performance, the moves and melodies of the performers captured the attention even more. And just when I thought it was over, they returned with new costumes, new energy, and an even better act.
What I loved most was how seamless everything felt. Dinner slowly blended into performance, performance slipped into after-hours revelry, and it all felt natural. The interiors helped set the mood too—mirrored jewel-toned walls, dramatic lighting, and that stage, which seemed to reveal itself in layers as the night went on. The whole vibe was bold, indulgent, and so different from the usual “luxury” Delhi is used to. Honestly, it reminded me of places abroad, like Lío Ibiza or The Theatre Dubai, but with its own unique flair.
Food And Cocktails That Stole The Show

Now, while the show was the highlight, the food deserves its own spotlight. Here are some of my favourites from the night:
- The Roasted Beetroot Crudo with feta, avocado crema, orange, and hazelnut was bright, refreshing, and easily the star of my meal.
- The Butternut Squash Pizza with caramelised onion, feta, and cheddar was another absolute winner; I could eat it on repeat.
- The Wok-Fried Shrimps with bold tamarind flavours were punchy and addictive.
- The Espuma Burrata with grilled peach and raspberry felt light and refreshing, a perfect break between heavier dishes.
- The Midori Chikara Sushi Roll was creamy, crunchy, and had just the right touch of truffle – delicious.
I also tried their Furikake Tokyo Guacamole, Silken Harmony Szechuan Fire Tofu, Wild Mushroom Cream Cheese, and Black Pepper Asparagus Gyoza (this one felt a little underwhelming compared to everything else, but still enjoyable). To end on a sweet note, the Coconut Panna Cotta with Yuzu Sauce was a refreshing, well-balanced dessert that tied everything together beautifully.
And then, of course, there were the cocktails—crafted with as much drama as the performances:
- The Blush Dictator had guava, watermelon, and jalapeño mixed with tequila. It was sweet, spicy, and fun to sip on while watching the show.
- Stand for Passion was bold and fruity, with tequila, passionfruit, and jalapeño. It’s definitely a drink with attitude.
- The Herbal Yank was fresh and herby, with vodka, basil, mint, and celery, like a garden in a glass.
By the end of the evening, I realised something important: Dramique isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to experience. Yes, the food is amazing, but what really shines through is how the restaurant transports you to a world of extravagance.
In Delhi, where a new restaurant opens virtually every weekend, it’s uncommon to find something that feels both iconic and genuinely new. Dramique is exactly that. It’s bold, it’s different, and it makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a world-class experience without leaving the city.
For me, it was a night I’ll be talking about for a long time.
