That said, we all know pandal hopping in Kolkata can get a bit tiring because of the heavy traffic on the roads, and that’s exactly why the metro turns out to be the best solution. With many iconic pandals in North and South Kolkata located near metro stations, let’s give you a quick guide on how you can do pandal hopping hassle-free with Kolkata Metro. 

Metro Stations Near Famous North Kolkata Durga Puja Pandals

North Kolkata is famous for hosting some of the best Durga Puja pandals, which every year attract millions of devotees seeking blessings. Thanks to the Kolkata Metro, it’s easier for devotees to visit these pandals. Here’s a list of metro stations and the famous pandals near them.

1. Noapara Metro Station

From this station, you can visit Nawpara Dada Bhai Sangha, which was established in 1959. This ground has been celebrating the Durga Puja festival since 2004 and continues to be one of the most popular pandals not to miss.

2. Belgachia Metro Station

This metro station is close to several famous pandals such as Belgachia Central Sarbojanin, Belgachia Sadharan Durgotsav, Dum Dum Park Bharat Chakra, Dum Dum Park Tarun Sangha, Tala Barowari Durgotsav, and Tala Park Prattay.

3. Shyambazar Metro Station

Pandals near Shyambazar metro include Baghbazar Sarbojonin Durgotsav, Hatibagan Nabinpally, Hatibagan Sarbojanin Durgotsav, Kabiraj Bagan Sarbojonin Durgotsav, Nalin Sarkar Street Sarbojonin Durgotsav, North Tridhara Durga Puja, Friends Union Club, and Sikdar Bagan Sadharan Durgotsav.

4. Shovabazar Sutanuti Metro Station

Close to this metro station, you’ll find Ahiritola Jubak Brinda, Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgotsab, Beniatola Sarbojanin Durgotsab, Hatkhola Gosaipara Sarbojanin Durgotsab, Jagat Mukherjee Park, Kumartuli Park, Kumartuli Sarbojanin Durgotsab, Shyampukur Sanghatirtha Durga Puja Samity, Sovabazar Rajbari, and Sovabazar Burtolla Sarbojanin.

5. Girish Park Metro Station

If you want to visit Chaltabagan Durga Puja, Jorasanko Sadharan Durgotsav, or Kashi Bose Lane Durga Puja Samity, you can get off at Girish Park metro station.

6. MG Road Metro Station

Some of the well-known Durga Puja pandals near MG Road metro station are Chorebagan Sarbojanin, College Square Sarbojanin, and Muhammad Ali Park.

7. Sealdah Metro Station

The popular pandals near Sealdah metro station include Chorebagan Sarbojanin, College Square Sarbojanin, and Muhammad Ali Park.

8. Phoolbagan Metro Station

Around Phoolbagan metro station, the pandals to visit are Beliaghata 33 Pally, Nabamilan Durga Puja, and Sandhani Club.

Metro Stations Near Well-Known South Kolkata Pandals

1. Netaji Bhavan Metro Station

The pandals near this station are 22 Pally, 68 Pally Sarbojonin, 76 Pally Sarbojanin, Agradut Udayan Sangha, Bakul Bagan, Bhowanipur 75 Pally Durga Puja Pandal, Bhawanipur Durgotsav, and Paddapukur Barwari Samity.

2. Jatin Das Park Metro Station

From here, you can visit Alipore 78 Pally, Hazra Park, Kalighat Natun Sangha, Maddox Square, and Sanghashree Kalighat.

3. Kalighat Metro Station

This metro station connects you to some of the most famous pandals such as 21 Pally, 66 Pally, Badamtala Ashar Sangha, Ballygunge Cultural Association, Chetla Agrani, Deshapriya Park, Ekdalia Evergreen, Hindustan Club, Hindustan Park, Samaj Sebi Sangha, and Singhi Park.

4. Gitanjali Metro Station

Get off at the Gitanjali metro station to visit the well-known Naktala Udayan Sangha Durga Puja.

5. Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Metro Station

Pandals near this station include 41 Pally, Ajeya Sanghati, Barisha Club, Pally Unnayan Samiti, and Vivekananda Sporting Club. Don’t miss out on these pandals in South Kolkata.

6. Rabindra Sarovar Metro Station

This station gives easy access to Mudiali Club, Sebak Sangha, Shiv Mandir Sarbajanin, and Suruchi Sangha.
