After 10 Years, Magnetic Fields Bids Farewell To Alsisar; Festival’s 2026 Edition Moves To An All-New Location

Here’s some bittersweet news! The Magnetic Fields Festival will no longer return to its longtime home in Alsisar. But there’s a silver lining: the organisers have announced a brand-new location for their festival set to take place in February 2026. Here are all the details!

Magnetic Fields Bids Farewell To Alsisar, Their Home Since 2013

The Magnetic Fields Festival, a three-day celebration of music and arts, has been held at Alsisar Mahal, a 17th-century palace in Rajasthan, for the past decade. However, the team has decided to bid farewell to this location, which they have called home since their debut in 2013. The team announced this news on the festival’s official Instagram account.

In a statement, the organisers said they have experienced 10 unforgettable years at Alsisar. Plus, they will always carry “deep and enduring gratitude” for the warmth, generosity, and spirit of the place. The palace, with its golden sand and painted walls, has truly been home for Magnetic Fields. Now, the team has announced that the festival’s new edition, Magnetic Fields Nomads, will be held at a new location in Khetri, Rajasthan, in February 2026.

A New Chapter For The Iconic Festival

The team behind Magnetic Fields is working on reimagining the complete experience with a focus on inviting the community to return to something more intentional, present, and connected. The festival features music, local Rajasthani culture, art installations, and workshops. The new edition will return bigger and better.

Speaking about the change, Sarah Elizabeth Chawla, festival co-founder, said, “There are a lot of options out there – which of course, is great for everyone – but we want to stick to what we do best and what we always did differently.”  She further added, ” We have never been about the biggest stages, names or largest crowds. We want to be more intentional and reconnect with our purpose as a festival, using culture as an opportunity to centre and ground ourselves, not as a space for distraction and dissociation.”

Sarah Elizabeth Chawla also stated that the team’s goal is to challenge perceptions of what a festival can be. They also aim to encourage presence and stay true to their signature curation.
