If you’re the kind of person who tracks macros and still can’t say no to a slice of cake at a party or eyes those Instagram-pretty drinks loaded with syrup and feels personally attacked, I get it. That’s exactly the internal conflict we walked into Brevé 2.0 in the bustling lanes of Bandra and walked out of pleasantly surprised.
What An Evening At Brevé 2.0 In Bandra Actually Looks Like
Tucked into the streets of Bandra, Brevé’s new flagship isn’t just another 36-seater café chasing the coffee-and-croissant crowd. It’s built around Running Late by Brevé, Mumbai’s first café-led run club. So, if you enter on a Sunday Morning, yes, half the room will genuinely look like it just finished a 5K. On other days, you might spot people settling in for a laptop-and-latte kind of morning. Both crowds, it turns out, are equally well fed.
We Tasted These Dishes At Brevé 2.0’s, & Here’s What’s Actually Worth Ordering
We started with the Morning Blue Smoothie, and honestly, “addictive” is the right word for it. A genuine kick runs through it, likely from the blue spirulina base, cut with just enough banana sweetness. Hence, it never tips into medicinal territory the way most “healthy” smoothies do. It drinks light, not chalky, which is rarer than it should be.
Then there’s the hot chocolate. A full 10, and deservedly so. Thick without being corn-starchy, deeply cocoa-forward rather than just sweet, with a warmth that lingers on the back of the tongue well after the cup’s empty. This isn’t a cocoa-powder-and-hot-milk situation; there’s real depth to the flavours here.
Closing things out, the butter chocolate chip cake keeps things simple and does them well, with a moist crumb, dark chocolate chips distributed evenly rather than clumped at the bottom, and a buttery finish that doesn’t lean overly sweet. Best part? It’s added sugar free!
The butter croissant, unfortunately, dipped slightly in terms of expectations for us. It tasted softer and more bready than shatteringly flaky and missed that audible crackle it should give you on the first bite. Points for buttery flavours? Solid yes!

The Pesto Marinated Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap was, without question, the strongest thing on the table. The chicken’s char comes through first, followed by the pesto’s garlicky, herby backbone, and the wrap holds its structure without turning soggy or collapsing halfway through, a legit feat for anyone who’s had a Caesar wrap fall apart in their lap. Finger-licking good isn’t an exaggeration here.
Avocado toast is the dish every café gets tested on, and Brevé’s version lands solidly in “good” territory. The avocado is properly ripe and creamy, seasoned with a light hand rather than drowned in chilli flakes for the ‘gram, sitting on a sourdough toasted enough to hold weight without turning into a jaw workout.
