“Call The Cops, We Want Justice,” Foodies React To Viral Butter Chicken Ice Cream

Do you like Butter Chicken? For some of us, the name of this dish is enough to make our mouths water. It is one of India’s most loved delicacies, right? But sometimes creators experiment with butter chicken recipes in ways that can literally leave the netizens divided. A video is now making the rounds on the internet showing a creator making butter chicken ice cream, and foodies naturally have their own opinions about it.

Creator Makes Butter Chicken Ice Cream

The internet is full of fusion recipes. Some go viral for being amazing, while others go viral for being bizarre. A content creator named Juliette Moreno, who apparently “cooks with no rules”, has surprised netizens by making butter chicken ice cream. And the recipe is quite simple. She blended leftover butter chicken with heavy cream, condensed milk and sugar until all the chicken chunks became completely smooth. 

Juliette then froze the mixture overnight and used an ice cream maker the next day to turn it into ice cream. She then scooped the ice cream into a waffle cone, and done. Juliette called the ice cream “delicious” and even described it as her “new favourite.”

Indian Foodies Not Happy With The Recipe

Honestly, butter chicken tastes best normally with just butter naan or plain garlic naan. A foreign creator turning it into ice cream was definitely not on our bingo cards. And yes, this surprised many Indian foodies as well. One user wrote, “Should not be mixing these two foods.” Another Instagram user sarcastically asked, “Juliette, do you recommend topping this off with whipped cream or sour cream?” One user even wrote, “Why would you do it?”

A comment which read, “Call the cops, we want justice,” honestly made us laugh. Many Instagram users also asked her to stop making fusion recipes like these. No matter what, butter chicken remains one dish that gets experimented with the most, and every time these creations go viral on social media.
