The Masala Chai Sourced From India

For those curious about the chai, it was masala chai, sourced from India with spices from Kerala. The blend included cinnamon, black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and ginger. Not only that, but PM Modi also told Keir Starmer, “With this chai, you get the taste of India.” The tea served was from a brand called Amala Chai. Known for its freshly brewed masala chai, the brand offers a variety of blends to tea lovers in London. Though the tea leaves are grown in India, it’s brewed and sold through small chai carts in London.

Beyond the tea break, both leaders also interacted with cricket players from the Buckinghamshire Street Cricket Hubs. Both nations share a deep passion for cricket, which only adds to the growing relationship. According to a report by NDTV World, PM Starmer stated that the India-UK trade deal was the most significant agreement the UK had signed since leaving the EU. He added that it celebrated the unique bonds of history and culture shared by the two nations.
