Coke-O-Nut

Seeing the amount of time we all spend on social media these days, getting influenced to try out random drinks and foods is a given! So, in today’s episode of ‘The Internet Made Me Try It’, I decided to try the Coke-O-Nut drink! Similar to the popular Dirty Diet Coke, this version is even simpler, no lemon required! And the verdict? Surprisingly… scroll down to find out.

Diet Coke + Coconut Milk For Creamy, Frothy Concoction!

When I came across a reel of Coke-O-Nut, I was instantly intrigued. A simple drink recipe with Coca-Cola in it? Sure, sign me up! The concept is straightforward, you pour Coke into a glass and add coconut milk. Almost immediately, the drink turns frothy and creamy, looking suspiciously like a glass of cold coffee.

I took a can of Diet Coke (yes, I am that girl!) and some store-brought coconut milk. Both the drinks were well-chilled before I tried this concoction. To be precise, I went with roughly ¾ Coca-Cola and ¼ coconut milk. At first, when you add the coconut milk, the drink may look slightly curdled, but don’t worry, a quick stir brings it all together. You can add some lemon juice or coffee, if you’re feeling experimental, but I kept things simple here.

Now, the end result of Coke-O-Nut wasn’t something I really anticipated–it almost felt nostalgic! The taste was almost like that of ice cream soda we all have enjoyed as kids with a kick of coconut freshness. As soon as I took the first sip I was reminded of the hundreds of Coke sodas I had as a kid and coconut milk’s flavour was a refreshing touch!

Maybe adding a lime would have been an additional bonus but I loved this simple, no-fuss, nostalgic drink! Let us know in the comments if you are willing to give it a try!
