Gen Z Reacts To Diet Coke Shortage
We know that Gen Z now often prefers Diet Coke over regular Coke. While enjoying their meals, they frequently order a Diet Coke, making it their go-to drink whenever they feel thirsty. However, there is currently a temporary shortage of Diet Coke across India, and this has led Gen Z to take over social media with their reactions.
Several reels are going viral with the idea “How to kidnap a Gen Z kid,” where the twist shows a truck full of Diet Coke instead of anything else. In another video, Diet Coke itself jokes that it is “overwhelmed with love” and is disappearing for a while. Some users are even jokingly searching online about exchanging empty cans for just two Diet Cokes. Others are saying the Diet Coke shortage has created more chaos than the LPG shortage. A few are also stocking up to make sure they don’t run out anytime soon.

What Caused The Shortage?
In India, the Diet Coke shortage is mainly happening because of a lack of aluminium cans. It’s not like the drink is not being produced. They are being produced but there aren’t enough cans available to pack and distribute it. On the other side, increase in aluminium prices and global supply chain issues are making production and restocking slower.
Another big reason is increased demand, especially in urban areas, where people are consuming more packaged drinks. According to Firstpost the supply issues is what’s making Diet Coke harder to find right now.
