Indian Army Creates Border Brew Cafe
The Indian Army’s imagination is truly out of the box, and you can see it in their Border Brew Café. The place where this café stands was once a decommissioned Bailey Bridge. It has now been transformed into a scenic café. This creative eatery has caught everyone’s attention.
If you’re in Arunachal Pradesh and want to visit this amazing café, you can head to Zemithang, near India’s sensitive border area in Tawang district. It stands right above the clear waters of the Ngyamjang Chu river. So when you sit here, you literally have flowing water beneath your feet.

What To Experience At This Cafe
The café is not just about food and drinks. It gives you a chance to sit right in the middle of nature. Big glass panels are placed all around, so you can enjoy clear views of mountains, clouds, and valleys while you sit. There is another area called the West Bank Café nearby. Both places offer beautiful and equally stunning views.
The Indian Army built this café in just over a month. They worked on it under Operation Sadbhavna, which focuses on helping people in border areas. So this place is not only for tourism, but also supports the local. This cafe is run by local Monpa women.
Kudos to the Indian Army for creating such an amazing place. This cafe is expected not only to be among the best eateries but also to boost tourism. This Tawang district is still less explored by travellers and so initiatives like the Border Brew Cafe will encourage people to visit and see that this place has to offer.
