1. Puran Poli

Puran Poli is a beloved Maharashtrian dish, and now you can easily make it at home too. For this, cook soaked chana dal with turmeric and ghee, then mix it with jaggery and mash it to make a smooth stuffing. For the dough, combine wheat flour, maida, turmeric, salt, oil, and water to form a soft dough. Stuff the sweet filling inside, roll gently, and cook on a hot tawa with ghee until it puffs. 2. Til Laddu

If you’re craving something sweet, til laddus are just what you need. To make them, start by roasting sesame seeds, peanuts, and coconut on low heat. Mix them with crushed peanuts and cardamom. Melt jaggery with a little water until it reaches a soft ball stage, then quickly mix in the roasted ingredients. While warm, roll the mixture into small laddus. 3. Peanut Chikki

Peanut chikki is something you would often find in Indian households. To prepare peanut chikki, roast peanuts on a low flame until their skin loosens, then peel and keep aside. Melt jaggery with a little water and cook until it forms a hard ball in water. Mix in the peanuts quickly and spread the mixture on a greased plate. Flatten, cut while warm, and let it cool. 4. Black Halwa

In the mood for some delicious halwa? Let’s cook black halwa. Mix grated jaggery, coconut milk, and rice flour until smooth. Cook on low flame, stirring until it thickens. Add thick coconut milk, ghee, cashews, and cardamom, and keep cooking until the mixture turns glossy, dark, and releases ghee. Spread it on a greased tray, let it cool, cut into pieces, and enjoy this rich treat.

5. Gulgule

To make gulgule, mash bananas with jaggery, then mix in wheat flour, fennel seeds, cardamom, baking powder, and water to form a thick, smooth batter.
