Japanese Creator Enjoys South Indian Food In The Rameshwaram Cafe
A visit to Bengaluru feels incomplete without a proper South Indian meal at The Rameshwaram Cafe. You simply cannot leave the city without trying its dosas, idlis and, of course, filter coffee. The best part of South Indian food is not just the taste, but also the comfort it offers. It really feels like a warm hug after a tiring day, and this Japanese content creator would agree.
Sho Takei, a Tokyo-born digital creator based in India, regularly uploads videos on Instagram (@sho.the.world) of himself exploring places not just in India but across the world. Recently, he visited The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru to enjoy an authentic South Indian meal. In the video, he is seen asking the cafe staff, “Do you speak English?” The staff replies with a “yes.” Sho Takei then asks the staff to suggest what he should order, as it was his first visit. He also mentions that he wants something “traditional and authentic.”

Mudde Meal With Filter Coffee In Bengaluru
The staff suggests that he try the ‘mudde meal’ along with a cup of filter coffee. The meal includes South Indian curries, rice, a ragi ball, vada, curd and a simple salad. Sho enjoys the food and clearly finds it delicious. He also called the meal “so good.” What surprised us was the price. The total cost of the meal came to around ₹200. That’s a full, comforting South Indian meal with coffee at a very affordable price!
Sho Takei also wrote in his caption, “Honestly, I underestimated vegetarian food. With nearly 20k Google reviews, this has to be one of the top veg spots in India,” and soon netizens flooded the comments section. One user wrote, “You asked for traditional and got the final boss of Karnataka.” Another commented, “His suggestion is so accurate,’ pointing at the ‘mudde meal.’ Several users also recommended other eateries in Bengaluru that Sho should try next.
