Through its annual showcase, In Search of Mangoes, Foodstories presents a carefully curated selection of over 22 varieties sourced from across India, each arriving only at its natural peak as the harvest moves from south to north.
The lineup includes celebrated varieties such as Alphonso, Kesar, Dasheri, Langra, Banganapalli, Imam Pasand, and Chakkarkutty, each sourced directly from its native region. Every mango is harvested at maturity, ripened without chemicals, and tagged with a measured Brix value to ensure optimal sweetness. With full traceability back to the farm, the focus is on taste over transport and quality over convenience.
The restaurant philosophy extends beyond just sourcing. It features a live in-store harvest tracker that amuses the customers and allows them to follow the journey of mangoes across regions. The mango parlour highlights one variety each week, offering a deeper understanding of its flavour, texture, and use. The experience also carries into the cafe and bakery, where mangoes are then used and reimagined through dishes like Devgad Alphonso amras, raw mango salsa, mango and habanero guacamole, and mango sticky rice.
Foodstories Mango Menu
Alongside the experience, Foodstories introduces a specially curated Mango Edit at its café, featuring delectable dishes across mains, salads, and desserts. Made from 100% Devgad Alphonso, the menu includes Amras, raw mango salsa, Mango and Habanero Guacamole, to Bangkok Mango Sticky Rice pudding and more. The menu celebrates the variety of mangoes across cuisines and formats.
With stores in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai set to launch soon, Foodstories continues to promote mangoes not just as a seasonal fruit but as an expression of taste and thoughtful selection.
