HSR Layout has a slice of Europe, at Marseli, Bengaluru’s newest cafe for slow-fermented sourdough breads, baguettes, brioches and foccacias. Boasting 300 handcrafted offerings, thoughtful beverages and a warm, European-inspired ambience, Marseli has an inviting vibe. The Parisian-style patisserie counter is the centrepiece, while the Italian gelatos, handmade pasta and pizzas will have you dropping everything at a drop of a hat to dine here.

2. Mirth

Bringing Old Bangalore’s ’90s pub scene back in vogue are four lifelong friends and fellow whiskey lovers turned foodpreneurs. Sundeep Reddy, Arsau Elango, Santosh Balan, and Prasanna Govindappa have launched Mirth on Indiranagar’s 100 Feet Road. Mirth is a cosy 65-seater tipple where handcrafted whiskey cocktails meet bold Asian flavours that beautifully mingle with the richness of Maharashtrian and Goan cuisines. Here, a Goan Ros Omelette-inspired plate and Pour Me A Slice (whiskey infused with blue cheese) will leave you intrigued.

A new shape-shifting dining room sits unassumingly in Indiranagar. That’s Circa 11 for you, a space that effortlessly transforms into a coffee shop, a restaurant and a cocktail bar. With 25 sauces prepared in-house, a locally-inspired menu and bar program, and warm interiors, Circa 11 has an ever-shifting vibe that’s quite infectious.
