Nauheed also shared that she used maida, but anyone wanting a healthier version can swap it with flour alternatives. Here’s the full recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp maida
  • A little vanilla essence
  • Maple syrup
  • A dollop of butter

Method:

  • Mash the banana properly in a bowl.
  • Add 1 egg and mix well to make a thick batter.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of maida. There’s no need to add sugar as ripe bananas are already sweet.
  • Add a teeny bit of vanilla essence, because really, which pancake is complete without it? Mix everything well.
  • Heat a pan, add a dollop of butter, and pour in the batter.
  • Cook until it turns slightly brown on both sides.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup and enjoy it for breakfast, lunch, or any time you want.
