PepsiCo Discontinues 9 Drinks, 21 Other Flavours Have ‘Limited Time’ In Stores Worldwide

PepsiCo has one of the most elaborate beverage lineups worldwide! Now, it has shaken up its global beverage line by pulling nine drinks off shelves while flagging 21 others as “limited time” products. PepsiCo Discontinues 9 Drinks

According to The Mirror US, PepsiCo has discontinued nine flavours of soda and labelled 21 other drinks as “limited time left” in stores across the world. Besides sodas, the beverage company has also axed production of several sparkling water, Gatorade, and energy drink flavours.

For the “limited time left” drinks, it means PepsiCo has stopped producing the drinks, though they might still be available in stores until supplies run out. As per the beverage giant, the decision is part of a strategy to streamline its offerings and focus on its stronger products rather than abandoning variety altogether.

Commenting on this, CEO Ramon Luis Larguarta said, “When it comes to beverages, the focus has been in improving colas. And colas is a good success for us. We’ve been focusing on the no-sugar colas, we’ve been focusing on food and Pepsi, and we’ve been focusing on the taste challenge. Those three elements have driven share — positive share performance for Pepsi, which is something we feel very good about. Not only in the US but globally.”
