Good news, folks! Following the recent GST revamp, Mother Dairy has announced a reduction in prices across its dairy and processed food products, including milk, paneer, ghee, and other staples. The move is expected to provide relief to households while making everyday essentials more affordable for common people. Here’s all you need to know about it.
Mother Dairy Cuts Down Prices As Per GST Revision
According to Hindustan Times, Mother Dairy will be slashing prices across its range of dairy and food products from September 22, thanks to the revised GST rates. The recent reform significantly lowered and even scrapped taxes on many essentials. As per Mother Dairy, all its dairy and packaged food products have now moved to either a 5% GST slab or been exempted altogether.
This will mean that dairy products such as UHT milk, paneer, ghee, butter, cheese, and milkshakes will see price reductions, with GST rates reduced from 5–18% to 0–5%, depending on the product. The 1-litre UHT milk (Tetra Pack) will be available for ₹75, down from the current ₹77, and 500 gm butter will cost ₹285, down from the current ₹305, from September 22, 2025.

Revised Prices Of Milk & Dairy Products
According to Mother Dairy, it is passing “100% of the tax benefit” to its patrons and “keeping up with the spirit of this reform.” It is to be noted that regular pouch milk will not get cheaper once the revised GST is implemented. This is because poly packs of milk, including Full Cream Milk, Toned Milk, and Cow Milk, have always been exempted from GST. Therefore, the new changes will have no implications on their prices.
