Route & Schedule Of This New Train

The Ahmedabad-Udaipur Vande Bharat train will start operations on February 18. It will run with train number 26964 between Asarwa and Udaipur City, departing from Asarwa at 5:45 PM daily (except Tuesday) and arriving in Udaipur at 10 PM. On the return leg, train number 26963, Udaipur City-Asarwa Vande Bharat Express, will leave from Udaipur at 6:10 AM daily (except Tuesday) and arrive at Asarwa at 10:25 AM.

Business Standard reported that the new train will comprise eight coaches, including AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. Bookings will open on February 15 at all PRS counters and through the IRCTC website. In both directions, the train will halt at Himmatnagar, Dungarpur, and Jawar stations.

Two Serves Discontinued In Rajasthan

While the news of new Vande Bharat train between Gujarat and Udaipur excited many passengers, several were disheartened when the Railways issued a statement regarding discontinuation of two of two Vande Bharat express trains in Rajasthan. Trains between Jaipur–Agra and Jaipur–Udaipur sectors will be discontinued from February 15 and February 14, respectively. As per Times of India, the reason behind this discontinuation is low occupancy as the fare of these semi-high speed trains were quite high in comparison to other trains on these routes.
