Kochi rounds out the top five, drawing visitors with Fort Kochi’s colonial heritage, Kerala cuisine, contemporary art and access to the state’s backwaters.

Tokyo Takes The First Spot In Asia

Tokyo’s rise to number one highlights its ability to offer something different with every visit. Seasonal experiences, lesser-known neighbourhoods and its diverse culinary scene continue to attract repeat travellers. The ranking also points to the growing popularity of Japan and Vietnam. Fukuoka entered the Asian top 10 for the first time at number eight, reflecting interest in destinations beyond Japan’s traditional tourist hubs. Its ramen culture and relaxed atmosphere are among its key draws. Vietnam’s Da Nang also climbed two places to sixth. Its beaches, proximity to UNESCO-listed Hoi An and relatively good value are helping make it a popular choice for repeat travellers.
