During this period, the demand for train travel increases significantly. To make travel smoother for passengers, Indian Railways has announced a festive special Vande Bharat train connecting New Delhi and Patna, Bihar, from October 11. Read on for all the details.

The semi-high-speed Vande Bharat train between New Delhi and Patna has been announced to meet the growing demand for train travel during the festive rush. According to The Economic Times, the New Delhi–Patna Vande Bharat festival special will run as train numbers 02254 and 02253. It will start its service from Patna Junction on October 11 and from New Delhi on October 12.

This new service is not permanent. As a festival special, it will operate only until November 17. It is expected to provide travellers with a faster and more convenient option to reach their preferred destination. The train will cover a distance of around 1,000 km in approximately 13 hours. The train will depart from New Delhi at 08:35 AM and reach Patna at 09:30 PM on the same day. On the return journey, it will leave Patna at 10:00 AM and arrive in New Delhi at 11:30 PM.

All You Need To Know About This Route

During its journey, the special Vande Bharat train will stop at six stations along the route. On both side, it will makes stoppages at Aligarh, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara stations before reaching its final destination.

The launch of this festival special Vande Bharat between New Delhi and Patna is part of Indian Railways’ broader plan to expand its semi-high-speed network across the country. More Vande Bharat trains are being introduced on key routes to connect major cities. Passengers can also enjoy a premium travel experience, with comfortable seating, large windows, and modern onboard amenities.
