FM Nirmala Sitharaman Shares A Meal, Chats With Young Passengers On Vande Bharat To Jaipur

Vande Bharat trains have made train travel faster and more convenient for commuters. And it’s not just everyday travellers—celebrities and public figures have also hopped aboard to experience the journey. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently joined the list, taking a Vande Bharat from Delhi to Jaipur for the BRICS FMCBG meetings. But it was her interactions with fellow passengers and the conversations along the way that made the journey even more memorable.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman Takes Vande Bharat To Jaipur

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman travelled from Delhi to Jaipur aboard a Vande Bharat train to attend the BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meetings, being held on August 12 and 13. According to Moneycontrol, the meeting brings together finance ministers and central bank governors from member countries to discuss key issues shaping the global and domestic economic landscape.

But what caught everyone’s attention was the Finance Minister’s choice of transport. Instead of taking a flight or travelling by road, Sitharaman opted for a Vande Bharat to make her way to Jaipur. During the journey, she interacted with fellow passengers, including a group of women who chatted with her in a warm and cordial setting. The passengers later posed for photographs with the Finance Minister, making the journey all the more memorable.

Interacts With Young Co-Passengers Onboard

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also shared glimpses of her Vande Bharat journey from Delhi to Jaipur on social media. During the trip, she interacted with two postgraduate media students and two young media professionals, with their conversations touching upon geopolitics, the economy and issues concerning the youth, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry of Finance described it as a “freewheeling discussion”, with the four youngsters exchanging views with the Finance Minister on a range of topics. In the pictures shared online, the FM can also be seen chatting with her co-passengers and enjoying a meal with them, making the journey a rather memorable one.
