“Happy Birthday Amma,” Grandson Takes 84-Year-Old Grandmom On Her First Flight, Video Wins Hearts

Grandparents taking their first flight is often heartwarming, as they are just like little kids navigating their first experience of travelling by plane. Recently, a video has been winning hearts online after a grandson took his 84-year-old amma or grandmother, on her first-ever flight to her ancestral hometown in Hazaribagh.

Grandparents are special, and their bond with grandchildren is even more special. A man named Arnab proved that beautifully. He recently fulfilled his grandmother’s lifelong dream of travelling by air by surprising her with her first-ever flight as a birthday gift. He uploaded a heartwarming video on Instagram showing his grandmom curiously walking towards the plane and showing her boarding pass to the cabin crew.

The video also showed the 84-year-old grandmother, or Arnab’s amma, calmly enjoying makhanas while looking outside the window during the flight. She also clicked adorable pictures not just with her grandson but also with cabin crew members. Arnab also wrote on Instagram, “My dream took just 22 years, but her first flight took 84 years.”

Netizens Get Emotional 

Arnab also shared an emotional caption under the video, which read, “Happy Birthday to my Amma. This special video is from 2024 of her first trip via flight to her ancestral hometown, Hazaribagh.” Naturally, the heartwarming clip left many people online emotional and reminded them of their own moments with grandparents.
