Sometimes, you board a flight expecting the usual: a comfortable seat, some good food, and a few hours of movies. And honestly, after taking more than 1,500 flights over the years, that’s exactly what I assumed this one would be too. But when I recently flew from Delhi to London on Air India’s new A350 Business Class, I realised there’s a lot the airline is doing that most travellers might not even know about. I noticed subtle upgrades, thoughtful touches, and a modern, well-designed cabin that quietly improves the long-haul experience.
Air India’s A350 Business Class Took Me By Surprise
The moment I entered the cabin, I realised the lighting was soft, the colours were calming, and the entire space had a beautiful, modern feel. And the aircraft itself, the Airbus A350, played a huge role. It’s more spacious, smoother, and equipped with some of the most advanced cabin features in the world.
The Private Suite

The first thing that grabs your attention is the private suite hiding behind sliding doors for complete privacy. It comes with a 79-inch lie-flat bed that turns your space into a cosy sleeping environment. Storage spaces, a wardrobe, and plenty of stowage make it feel like a small room rather than a seat. Once I settled in, I truly forgot I was sharing the aircraft with others.
WiFi That Actually Works
One of the biggest highlights of travelling in this aircraft is the WiFi. Unlike most flights, the connectivity here lets you check emails and scroll Instagram without interruption. It’s smooth, quick, and reliable – exactly what you would need at 35,000 ft.
3,500 Hours Of Entertainment
The A350 Business Class also offers a bright, full HD screen and an easy-to-navigate interface, boasting 3,500 hours of curated content from Bollywood and Hollywood to music and documentaries.

Sunday Brunch On Air India
This deserves its own spotlight! While scrolling through the entertainment library, I found something unexpected: Curly Tales’ Sunday Brunch, listed in the premium content library. The moment was wholesome, exciting, and a proud reminder of how far we at Curly Tales, India’s no.1 food, travel and lifestyle content, have travelled.
Gourmet Food

Air India has always been known for its Indian meals, but the A350 Business Class takes it to another level. Here, the food isn’t just served, it’s presented on beautiful Maharaja-inspired chinaware and premium glassware, giving the meals a fine-dining feel. Expect freshly brewed coffee, a great selection of wines, and warm Indian meals that taste surprisingly delicious at high altitude.
The Sozni Blanket
Making your journey with Air India truly special, it is the only airline in the world to offer wool-blended blankets in First and Business Class, inspired by Sozni embroidery from Jammu & Kashmir. The design has a jacquard border and Sozni motifs, making the flat-bed experience even cosier. As I wrapped myself in it, I thought, “Aisa lagta hai landing delay ho jaye… bas main iss comfort mein leti rahu.”
Along with the blanket, passengers also receive a Salvatore Ferragamo amenity kit and comfortable pyjamas to change into. These small touches make long-haul flying feel so much more relaxed.
I have taken over 1,500 flights in my lifetime. But on this flight, something felt different. The moment I shut the suite door, I enjoyed a combination of comfort, luxury, and new-age upgrades. If you haven’t experienced the A350 Business Class yet, you might want to. Because this is Air India like you’ve never seen before, offering a level of comfort that stays with you long after the flight is over
