IndiGo, one of India’s most preferred airlines, has been recognised as the ‘Best Aviation Service Provider’ at the recently held Wings India Awards 2026. The awards acknowledged IndiGo as one of the country’s leading carriers and for its strong focus on enhancing connectivity across India and globally. Here’s more on this! 

IndiGo Honoured At Wings India Awards 2026

Before getting into the details, it is worth noting that the Wings India Awards are among the most reputed and credible recognitions in India’s aviation ecosystem. The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, Airports Authority of India, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry organise the awards. IndiGo was recognised as the ‘Best Aviation Service Provider’ at the prestigious Wings India 2026.

The awards also recognised the airline’s continued efforts to enhance connectivity within India and across the world.  In 2025, IndiGo flew 124 million customers across a strong network of 139 destinations. This included 97 domestic and 42 international destinations. IndiGo has witnessed strong growth, marked by a major expansion of its network in India and globally. The airline also became the launch carrier at Navi Mumbai International Airport and at the new airports in Purnea and Rewa.

Airline Has Launched 10 New International Destinations 

IndiGo’s focus on regional penetration has played a critical role in improving accessibility for emerging markets and first-time flyers. The airline has launched 10 new international destinations and added 30 new international routes. This includes the start of long-haul operations with direct connectivity from India to Manchester, Amsterdam, London, and Copenhagen, among others. In addition to this, IndiGo also began non-stop services from Mumbai and Delhi to Athens. This move also marked the international debut of India’s first Airbus A321XLR.

Speaking on this achievement at Wings India 2026, Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, said, “We are humbled to be recognised as the Best Aviation Service Provider at Wings India 2026. This is a significant affirmation of the commitment and resilience of the 65,000+ member team at IndiGo.”
