IRCTC Announces 10-Day Nepal Tour Train With Pashupatinath, Pokhara & Chitwan Safari From June 12

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is all set to launch the first-ever Bharat Gaurav tourist train to Nepal. The train will offer travellers a customised spiritual and sightseeing experience across Nepal. Excited to know more about it? Read on!

IRCTC To Launch Nepal-Indore Bharat Gaurav Train

According to a report by NDTV, the special “Pashupatinath Nepal Darshan Yatra” train will start from Indore on June 12 and will mark the first Bharat Gaurav train to run beyond India’s borders. Created as a guided tourism package instead of a regular train journey, the service combines rail travel, hotel stays, sightseeing and meals, all in one single itinerary. This special feature will make this an attractive option for both pilgrims and leisure travellers.

Destinations, Boarding Points & More

If reports are to be believed, the nine-night and 10-day tour package of the train will take travellers through some of Nepal’s best spiritual and tourist attractions. The destinations in the itinerary include visits to:

  • Kathmandu
  • Pashupatinath Temple
  • Pokhara
  • Chitwan National Park
  • Manakamana Temple

Additionally, according to IRCTC, the package also includes a gondola ride to Manakamana Temple and a jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park.

Passengers who want to travel in the Bharat Gaurav tourist train can board it from multiple stations across Madhya Pradesh, like:

  • Indore
  • Ujjain
  • Shujalpur
  • Sehore
  • Bhopal
  • Itarsi
  • Narsinghpur
  • Jabalpur
  • Katni
  • Satna

Apart from this, the AC tourist train will also include 14 coaches with First AC, Second AC and Third AC categories. IRCTC have also arranged two restaurant coaches available onboard for dining facilities during the journey.

The tour package has been divided into three categories:

  • Third AC Comfort: ₹62,710 per person
  • Second AC Deluxe: ₹76,550 per person
  • First AC Superior: ₹90,400 per person

The package will include:

  • Train travel
  • Hotel accommodation in good three-star properties
  • Vegetarian meals
  • Local sightseeing and transit via AC buses
  • Travel insurance
  • Tour escorts
  • Housekeeping and security services
