But what makes these temple visits even more special is their spiritual significance. The Chamundeshwari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, is dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Maa Durga. Interestingly, this temple is believed to be the exact place where the Goddess defeated the demon king Mahishasura.
Known for its Dravidian-style architecture, the temple also houses a large statue of Mahishasura. Perched on the top of Chamundi Hills, the Chamundeshwari Temple offers breathtaking views of Mysuru, making it a scenic destination, as well. Apart from that, this beautiful temple is known for its impressive gopuram, intricate carvings and sculptures. The temple continues to attract thousands of devotees from around the world!
The Actor Also Visited The Srikanteshwara Temple
Apart from visiting Chamundeshwari Temple, Rishab Shetty also offered prayers at Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud. This temple is also referred to as the “Kashi of the South.” Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the one who drank poison, this ancient temple is believed to possess healing powers and the ability to cure the ailments of devotees who pray here.
According to a report by India Today, the actor, who seems to be on a spiritual journey, is also set to visit the ancient Murudeshwara Temple in Bihar next. It is said to be one of the oldest temples in the world. Fans would be glad to know that Kantara: Chapter 1, which was released in seven languages, has struck a chord with audiences across India. The film is inching towards ₹700 crores worldwide! It has truly set a benchmark for Kannada cinema, earning praise from fans.
