Snow Holidays Are Popular, But Beach Escapes Aren’t Going Anywhere
Winter travel does not necessarily mean wrapping yourself in layers and chasing snow. According to the report, snow-focused conversions have increased by approximately 28%, with Finland, Lapland and Switzerland among the popular choices.
For those who would rather trade chilly mornings for sunshine and beach views, the Maldives, Thailand, Singapore and Bali continue to attract Indian travellers. Some are even combining the two, pairing snowy European adventures with a relaxing beach stay.
Indians Spend More On Long-Haul Travel This Winter
Long-haul winter travel is also seeing a boost, with conversions rising by approximately 36% year-on-year. These holidays typically last eight to 10 nights, with booking values ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹8 lakh, depending on the destination and itinerary.
Travellers are also exploring alternatives to traditional European favourites, including South Korea, Kazakhstan, China, Taiwan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
With Christmas and New Year being particularly popular travel periods, those planning special experiences such as glass igloo stays or Northern Lights excursions may want to book well in advance.
