The temple receives daily visitor numbers exceeding 60,000 to 80,000 devotees, while the annual footfall is estimated between 30 and 40 million.
With the new traveller lounge, visiting the temple becomes much easier for pilgrims. This lounge comes with amenities including luggage storage, shower facilities, and changing rooms. The facilities aim to improve the travel experience for thousands of devotees.

Where Is This Lounge Located?
You might be wondering, where is this lounge located? The newly-opened traveller lounge by the IntrCity SmartBus is located near the RTC Bus Stand area. Pilgrims can store their belongings and freshen up before heading to the Tirupati temple. According to data from IntrCity SmartBus, many pilgrims arrive in the early morning after overnight journeys and prefer to freshen up before proceeding for darshan. This dedicated lounge addresses this demand, allowing devotees to relax, freshen up, and head for darshan without any hassle.
Speaking on the launch, Manish Rathi, co-founder and CEO of IntrCity SmartBus, said, “Travel demand is consistently high in pilgrimage corridors like Tirupati, particularly on overnight routes that connect significant cities. The opportunity to enhance the overall travel ecosystem surrounding these routes is increasing as more travellers transition to organised intercity bus networks. The Tirupati traveller lounge is a component of our endeavour to fortify the infrastructure of traveller services in significant pilgrimage destinations.”
You should also know that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced the schedule for online booking of darshan, seva, and accommodation tickets for June 2026. Pilgrims can now plan their visit in advance and book everything conveniently through the official website.
