If there’s one thing we Indians unanimously agree on, without ever discussing it, questioning it, or trying to change it, it’s that a blender cannot, under ANY circumstance, be used hands-free. It doesn’t matter if we’re making chutney, dosa batter, or just blending tomatoes for dal; the moment the switch is flipped, our entire body goes into “mission control” mode. Why? Nobody really knows.

Maybe it’s fear that the lid will fly off. Maybe it’s trauma from that one time in childhood when coconut chutney decorated the ceiling. Or maybe it’s just our cultural instinct to supervise everything intensely. But apparently, the rest of the world is out here living a life of peace and trust, because they just switch on the blender and walk away. Like, literally walk away.  And recently, an Australian content creator hilariously pointed this out and instantly united all Indians.

Indians Hold The Blender Like It’s About To Blast Off

In the reel, the Australian creator first shows how he used his blender before meeting his Indian girlfriend. He switches it on and lets the blender calmly do its job. He steps back and scrolls through his phone like it’s a relaxing Sunday. There’s no drama, no stress, and certainly no existential fear of chutney explosions.

Then comes the transition, showing how he uses the blender after meeting his Indian girlfriend. He switches it on, and suddenly, he’s hugging the blender like it’s a long-lost friend. One hand pushing it down, and the other steadying it. His full body is engaged, pushing the blending in its place with all his might. No dialogue was needed; all Indians who have ever used a blender understood the message instantly.

Indians Flooded The Comments With Gold

Obviously, every Indian viewer understood the struggle and couldn’t help laughing at his hilarious but accurate observation. One user said, “Because Blender needs emotional support.” Another added, “So now you have learnt the right way. Very good.” One even remarked, “She taught you well.” One user granted him elite status and said, “Now you’re an Indian too.” Some found it so relatable, they had to admit, “I literally do this every time.” One user commented, “Hahahaha. My anxiety in your first attempt.” Another added, “Haven’t ever known otherwise. Literally got scared seeing the first video.”

Basically, all the Indians in the comment section got triggered by watching a blender work alone.

So, do you also hold your grinder with both hands every time you switch it on? If yes, welcome, you’re part of the giant Indian club of “blender guardians.”
