Phase 3 of Bengaluru Metro is finally gearing up for on-ground work. The main stretch of the upcoming metro line will have a 28.4 km corridor connecting JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura in Hebbal. As per Hindustan Times, the Central Government had approved this stretch almost a year ago, but the tendering process kept getting postponed.

Seeing the constant delay in construction, citizens also raised questions to which officials explained the reason. They revealed that the delay is caused by the complex engineering plan of the double-decker structure. It is expected to carry both flyover and metro line on the same setup. The good news is that the detailed designs are now complete, allowing construction to finally move forward.
