Delivery Agent Held For Sexually Assaulting Brazilian Model In Bengaluru
According to NDTV, a college student, working part-time as a delivery agent, has been arrested after allegedly attempting to molest a Brazilian model in Bengaluru during delivery. The woman, who is in the city on an employment visa and shares a home with two other women, had placed a grocery order on Blinkit at 3:20 PM. The accused arrived at her house to deliver the order shortly after. She was home alone at that time.
The woman told the police that when she went to collect her order, the accused allegedly touched her inappropriately. She immediately pushed him away and locked the door before he could enter her home. Clearly shaken by the incident, she did not file a report against the man immediately. A few days later, she discussed this with her colleagues. It was her employer who helped her approach the RT Nagar Police to file an FIR in this matter.

As per Hindustan Times, when the police reviewed the CCTV footage from the building, it clearly supported the statement shared by the Brazilian model. Once the complaint was officially verified, the police arrested the delivery boy on October 25. The police shared that the complaint was filed on Saturday, and within hours, they were able to arrest the accused at his residence.
The delivery boy was booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and was presented before the ACMM court on Sunday in Bengaluru. As per the latest update, he will be in judicial custody for 14 days. He has confessed to the offence and has since been fired by the delivery platform.
