Visiting iconic monuments in India is set to become much easier. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has now enabled online ticket booking for over 170 centrally protected monuments and museums through Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) apps. Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how you can now book tickets to these monuments.

You Can Now Book Online Tickets To Visit ASI Monuments

According to a report by The New Indian Express, booking tickets online is not just easier but also comes with added benefits. Indian nationals can avail a discount of ₹5, while foreign nationals can get a ₹50 discount when they book tickets through ONDC-enabled applications for ASI monuments.

Online booking also helps visitors avoid physical ticket queues outside monuments and museums. This means no long waiting times and a smoother, faster entry. Sounds great, right? Booking tickets for ASI monuments is fairly easy. Tickets are currently available on platforms such as Highway Delite (web, Android, and iOS), Pelocal’s WhatsApp-based ticketing experience, where you can simply send ‘Hi’ to +91 84228 89057, and Abhee by Mondee (Android and iOS).

Step-By-Step Guide

Here is an easy guide to book online tickets to visit over 170 ASI monuments in India.

  • Download any one of the ONDC-enabled applications.
  • Select the ASI monument you want to visit.
  • Choose the date and time.
  • Check out and pay. That’s it.

The process is quick and hassle-free. The online booking steps may vary depending on the application you are using. Not every app will follow the same process. However, the discount offered will remain the same, so don’t worry about that!

According to a report by The New Indian Express, this initiative expands digital access to ASI monuments and museums. Visitors from India and abroad can now smoothly book tickets to some of the country’s most iconic landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Khajuraho temples, and more.
