Iron Rod From Pickup Vehicle Smashed Right Into Car

The footage shows a pickup vehicle carrying long iron rods losing balance while driving in Pune. The rods, which were not properly secured, crashed violently into a car. In the video, the rods are seen sticking out from the back of the pickup vehicle. When the pickup suddenly braked, one of the rods shot forward and pierced the windshield of a Maruti Ertiga. It went deep into the car, reaching the dashboard and smashing the glass, leaving the vehicle badly damaged.

As per Moneycontrol, details about the condition of the passengers are still unclear. Some social media posts suggest that the people in the car escaped without serious injuries, but official confirmation is still awaited. Careless Handling Of Construction Materials

The video has gone viral all over the internet, and it highlights the careless handling of construction materials. The incident was called near-fatal, raising serious concerns about traffic enforcement, especially in cities where monitoring should be stricter. One user wrote, “It was an open invitation to death. Unsecured iron rods are turning a pickup into a moving weapon, and all on a public road. By sheer luck, lives were saved. If this happens in a metro with traffic police everywhere, then where is enforcement? Negligence today, funerals tomorrow.”

The clip has sparked outrage online. Many people criticised the pickup driver for negligence and called out authorities for not enforcing road safety rules. Overloading vehicles and transporting sharp or heavy materials without proper safety measures has become increasingly common in India, making roads more dangerous for everyone. To avoid such accidents, make sure you maintain a safe distance from the heavily loaded vehicles.
