On April 1, state-owned oil companies announced a major hike in commercial LPG prices. Following the last revision on March 1, when rates were increased by ₹114.5 per 19-kg cylinder, prices have now been raised further by ₹195.5 across India on Wednesday. Commercial LPG Prices Surge Nationwide

Amid rising global oil prices triggered by the ongoing West Asia conflict, commercial LPG prices were increased by ₹195.5 across India on Wednesday. According to India Today, not just the 19-kg commercial cylinder, even the 5-kg mini cylinder prices have risen by ₹51. This surge will impact hotels, restaurants, and small enterprises that rely on commercial gas supplies.

State-owned oil companies such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise ATF and LPG prices on the first of every month based on global rates and currency fluctuations. Amid the ongoing Iran-US-Israel conflict, global oil prices have surged by nearly 50%, disrupting energy supply chains and raising concerns worldwide.

Despite all this, however, petrol and diesel prices in India remain unchanged for now, following a ₹2 per litre cut in March last year. In Delhi, petrol is currently priced at ₹94.72 per litre, while diesel stands at ₹87.62.

How Much Does A LPG Cylinder Cost Across India?

Even as commercial LPG prices have gone up, domestic cooking gas rates remain unchanged for now. The last revision came on March 7, with a ₹60 increase per 14.2-kg cylinder. In Delhi, a domestic LPG cylinder is currently priced at ₹913.

According to India Today, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now stands at ₹2,078.5 in Delhi and ₹2,031 in Mumbai. In Bengaluru, the rate has risen to ₹2,246.50, while in Kolkata it is ₹2,208. In Chennai, a commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹2,246.
