According to Hindustan Times, the long-pending road project connecting Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana has finally been approved. This road will bring down the travel time between Greater Noida and Faridabad from the current two hours to just 20-30 minutes! The road will also ease pressure on stretches like the Kalindi Kunj flyover and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Both of these roads currently serve as the primary options for commuters.

While talking to Hindustan Times, a UP government official mentioned that the circuit proposes construction of a 1.7 km new stretch and widening of over 3 km of existing roads.

More About This Project

Once complete, the new road will offer commuters a direct four-lane route that will allow them to bypass the indirect detours through Delhi or Noida that are often congested. The new road project will connect Atta Gujran village in Greater Noida to Jasana and Manjhawali in Faridabad. It will link up with the 630-metre Manjhawali Bridge, which remains underutilised due to the lack of a functional road on the Uttar Pradesh side.

With the state government’s approval, the construction work is expected to begin soon.
