Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, just released an initiative, Family @DEL, which gives all families travelling from the airport super easy access. All You Need To Know About Family DEL
According to the Hindustan Times, Family@DEL is a new initiative launched at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, on Thursday. This is an exclusive plan for families, offering them family access to dedicated terminal entry gates, family check-in counters, priority security lines and designated family seating at the food courts with their newly curated kids’ menu.
A spokesperson of the Delhi International Airport Limited also stated that the programme was introduced across all three terminals from Thursday onwards. This passenger-centric initiative is inaugurated to promote comfort, convenience and ease for families travelling via Delhi Airport. The programme is designed in a way to simplify the check-in process for the families.
Talking to the Hindustan Times, Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of the GMR-Aero-led DIAL, stated that this initiative reflects the airport’s commitment to creating an inclusive airport experience. All the facilities offered in this initiative are designed while keeping the unique needs of families in mind to ensure their journey through Delhi International Airport is comfortable, stress-free, and satisfying.
What All These Facilities Does the Family@DEL Provide?
In addition to that, officials also informed that apart from the access gates and easy movement inside the terminals, families would also be provided buggy assistance to the boarding gate, if needed.
Further, families travelling with infants, passengers with restricted mobility and elderly people can enjoy complimentary baby strollers, baby care rooms, PRM-friendly washrooms and specially trained on-ground Family Assistance Buddies for support.

The DIAL also stated that staff would be situated at every dedicated entry gate of terminals 1, 2 and 3 without any additional fee or pre-registration.
We feel this is a very thoughtful and beautiful initiative by Delhi Airport for a hassle-free takeoff from the Delhi Airport.
